Dr. Ann Kwok was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and immigrated to the United States with her family when she was just one year old. She grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, and met her husband, Travis, while attending the University of Florida at a student club event. The couple spent seven years in Ocala, where Travis worked with the UF Baseball team. During that time, their family grew from two to five. First came their Goldendoodle, Bailey, followed by their daughter Olivia, now six, and their son Lucas, now four—born during the pandemic.
Dr. Kwok enjoys spending quality time with her family, taking her children to aquariums, beaches, and zoos, and exploring all the family-friendly activities Sarasota has to offer. In her free time, she also loves reading, sewing, traveling, and enjoying the occasional date night with her husband.
From a young age, Dr. Kwok knew she wanted a career centered on caring for others. While her family worked in the pharmacy field, she felt drawn in a different direction. During her sophomore year of college, she participated in a summer medical/dental program at Rutgers University. That experience, along with her mother’s personal dental journey, inspired her to pursue dentistry.
She was especially drawn to the technical, artistic, and compassionate nature of the profession. Dentistry allows her to work with her hands, use her creativity, and make a real difference in people’s lives. What matters most to Dr. Kwok is creating a comfortable and trustworthy environment for her patients—where they feel heard, cared for, and confident in their care. She takes pride in empowering patients to take charge of their oral health and believes that a healthy mouth and a beautiful smile are key to overall well-being.
