I was born in Brussels, Belgium and moved to the US to begin my schooling. I graduated from the University Wisconsin Parkside with a BS in 1982 and I graduated from Marquette University with a DDS degree in 1986. I am licensed to practice dentistry in the states of Massachusetts and Florida.
I worked from 1986 to 1987 in Worcester, Mass. before establishing my dental practice in North Port, FL in July of 1988. I have lived and practiced in this area for over 30 years. I am a member in good standing with the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and The International Dental Implant Association. I have been a member of the Seattle Study Club since 2000 (a national treatment plan-based study club). I am also a founding member of the Sharks Tooth Study Club based in Venice, Florida. I have always met or exceeded the FL state continuing education requirements.
I am a founder and president of SCORR, a nonprofit that is building an off-road cycling trail network in the local parks having built over 20 miles of trails. I organize an off-road bicycle race every year called Piggy's Revenge Endurance Challenge bringing in over 350 cyclists from all over the country. My many other hobbies involve building things such as boats and furniture, and I am equally as passionate about cooking. I have been married to my beautiful wife Melissa since 1990 and we have three sons: Alex, Andrew, and Evan.
